Octo. 21. Jury selected & adj'd. till tomorrow.

 "  22. Jury sworn & evidence partly heard & cont'd till tomorrow.
 "  23. Evidence fully heard & argument partly heard & cont'd till tomorrow.
 "  24. Argument fully heard & jury rendered verdict of murder in 2d. degree & ascertained term of imprisonment in the Penitentiary at 5 years -- Mot. by prisoner for new trial, & time taken till tomorrow to consider.
 "  25. Mot. for new trial overruled & prisoner sentenced. Exceptions by prisoner & time allowed till tomorrow to prepare bill of exceptions.
